The Almond Collection marks the second collaboration between Otazen and designers Valerio Sommella and Simone Bonanni. In the aluminum version, the collection emphasizes lightness, durability, and contemporary outdoor performance.

The design is defined by the distinctive almond-shaped profile that forms the structure of each piece. This generous curve provides a comfortable armrest and introduces subtle depth where elements meet. Across dining, lounge, and sunbed pieces, the form creates a consistent design family suited for modern outdoor spaces.

Valerio Sommella & Simone Bonanni

Valerio Sommella and Simone Bonanni are Italian industrial designers based in Milan, who have collaborated on special projects for international brands since 2021. Sommella, born in Cortona in 1980, graduated with honors from the Milan Polytechnic and founded his design studio in 2009. Bonanni, born in Pordenone in 1989, graduated from IED Milan in 2011 and gained experience at Marcel Wanders Studio in Amsterdam before founding his own studio in 2015.
